A firefighting robot is a great idea for engineering project. The aim of a firefighting robot is to find the lighted candle placed in one of the corners a maze and extinguish the candle.

Here is more about firefighting robots. I’ve observed that bachelor’s projects done by project centers in India typically don’t actually extinguish any fire. They simply have a robot that can be navigated using a remote control. They cover it up by saying that there would be an imaginary water pipe that would extinguish the flame. Now that’s cheating.
