According to this data, the job that pays the most in India is the industry of Corporate Planning / Consulting and Top Management. These jobs pay an average salary of 12 lakh Indian Rupees per annum (10 lakhs is 1 million).
Second Highest paid job in India is the Information Technology(IT) Industry with an average salary of 10.2 lakh INR per annum for a 10 year experienced professional.
If you think web designing/graphic designing is cool in India, think again. It is one of the least paid jobs in the Corporate India paying an average of 6.5 lakhs per annum for a 10 year experienced resource.
It is disturbing to note that teaching/education is one of the least paying jobs. Teaching/education lays the basic foundation for every industry and for the country. It is the most important job! If Teachers are not paid well, the quality of education comes down. And if quality of education is low, quality of skill is low and consequently the quality of life in that country comes down.
